Workplace Innovation

Workplace giving has been an important part of charity in North America. The United Way and other federated fundraising programs have been efficient ways to coordinate fundraising programs, motivate employees, and create (and maintain) campaign momentum. The last few years have seen a slight fragmentation of federated giving programs — with more corporations and charities forging their own unique employee workplace campaigns. For some companies with very close charitable relationships it may make more sense for them to run ’boutique’ campaigns for just one charity.

I’ve done some thinking on this for the last year or so and I’m starting to put together an approach that combines online giving, face2face giving, and the integration of these old and new mediums. Below is a quick graphic of this approach. Take a look and tell me what you think. Could your organization do something like this?
